My Interview with New Now DC I recently had the incredible opportunity to be interviewed by News Now DC on their show, Living Local DC. It was a fantastic experience that allowed me to share my journey and the mission behind my work. The interviewer was engaging and asked insightful questions about how I got started, what I do, and why I’m so passionate about creating opportunities for young people. During the interview, I emphasized that what we are trying to accomplish is groundbreaking in the non-profit sector, especially when it comes to youth empowerment and education. Our focus is not just on traditional methods; we are committed to offering something new and exciting to students. However, it hasn’t been without challenges. We've faced obstacles with schools and other organizations, which sometimes hinder our ability to provide innovative programs. But we believe that perseverance is key, and we are determined to find ways to break through these barriers. A critical component of our success is the need for sponsorship and donations. Small non-profits like ours often struggle to secure funding, especially when larger organizations absorb grants that could otherwise support our initiatives. This is why we are reaching out to the community for help. We need more people to get involved, whether through partnerships, mentorship, or direct contributions, to help us make a significant impact on the lives of young people who need it most. Our vision is to think outside the box and create a collaborative environment where innovation thrives. With more support, we can open doors for students, providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Together, we can create a brighter future for the next generation.
